Our Compliance Program

ManaMed maintains a compliance program that incorporates the elements recommended by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) and the standards set out in the AdvaMed Code of Ethics on Interactions with Health Care Professionals. The program includes written policies and procedures, training, monitoring, and a process for investigating and correcting potential violations.

ManaMed's compliance program addresses:

• Interactions with healthcare professionals, including limits on gifts, meals, and other transfers of value
• Reporting obligations under the federal Open Payments program (the "Sunshine Act")
• Fraud, waste, and abuse prevention under Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal healthcare programs
• Quality system regulations under FDA's 21 CFR Part 820
• General business ethics and legal compliance

Compliance Hotline

ManaMed has established a confidential compliance hotline for employees, customers, healthcare providers, vendors, and members of the public to report potential violations of law, regulation, or company policy.

Reports may be made anonymously where permitted by law. ManaMed prohibits retaliation against any individual who, in good faith, reports a suspected violation.

California Compliance Declaration

In accordance with California Health and Safety Code Section 119400-119402, ManaMed declares that it has adopted and implemented a Comprehensive Compliance Program consistent with the OIG Compliance Program Guidance and the AdvaMed Code of Ethics. This declaration is made available annually on this website.
